Matt Solie

Interim Executive Pastor & Pastor of Discipleship

Matt is the husband of Lauren and father to two boys, Asher and Auggie. Before coming to Calvary in 2021, Matt planted and served as lead pastor of Village Church Chicago, a church plant in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood of Chicago, for five years. Matt received his Masters in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Bachelors in Finance from North Park University. He is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Ministry program in Discipleship at Biola University.

Matt is passionate about evangelism and discipleship. As the Pastor of Discipleship, he is excited to use these dual passions to raise up mature disciple-makers at Calvary who invest their lives in reproducing the full life of Jesus in others. In his spare time, you can find Matt playing with his boys, pondering his next chess move, or smoking meat on the grill.
