Pete Comanda
My wife Diane and I have attended Calvary for about 30 years. We currently reside in Homer Glen and have two adult children, Jeff who lives in California and Nicole who lives in Manhattan, IL with her husband Adam and our four grandchildren. I am humbled by the nomination for the position of Care Deacon, not because I feel that I deserve it over anyone else, but because the Lord and Calvary have been so good to me and my family and this is one way to give back at a time when Calvary is moving forward into a new chapter of its service to the Lord. I pray that I will be able to serve in a way that contributes to God's plan for us.
In my time at Calvary I have served three terms as an elder, served in Cadets, participated in the Calvary Theatre Group, served in Construction for Christ, and also in child care. Each of these service areas has blessed me and my life and I look forward to serving in this new capacity as a deacon. I would also encourage each of you to prayerfully consider finding a place at Calvary where you can serve and be a blessing to others.
