Calvary Church is partnered with My Joyful Heart to bless children this Christmas.
To bless a child this Christmas:
1. Choose a tag from the tree in the Gathering Place or please "choose" a child's Christmas tag by clicking below.
2. Purchase the pjs and one or all additional items from their wish list.
3. Return the item under the tree to church by November 28th.
PLEASE DO NOT WRAP, JUST INCLUDE GIFT IN A BOX OR A GIFT BAG AND MAKE SURE THE MJH CODE IS TAPED OR STAPLED TO THE INSIDE OF ALL GIFT PACKAGES! This MJH code is the number before the child's name, for example R14.
My Joyful Heart is a not-for-profit with a goal to share the love of Christ with Chicagoland's children in need. We serve approximately almost 1,000 financially disadvantaged children through 5 different "gift events" where our goal is to supply the children with some basic necessities and some special items. During Christmas, the goal is to get them new items and a fun or special toy or age-appropriate gift and this year we're focusing on providing warm pjs/slippers and an item from their wish list. Thank you for your kindness and generosity in participating in My Joyful Heart's Giving Tree Program. The suggestions are taken from the child's enrollment forms. All sizes are children sizes unless indicated as adult. If buying a toy that needs batteries please include them with gift. All kids like sweets, please don't hesitate to provide a tin of cookies or a small bag of Christmas chocolates/candy.
Do not include any shooting toys or games or violent movies. Also no Santa, vampire, supernatural, Goosebumps or Harry Potter or Monster High dolls. Many of our kids live in scary or violent neighborhoods and we want to be a source of light and love.
